Hi,
i have the sky glass tv with sky q, not the streaming. Anyone know whether my channels will be affected when sky remove SD, or whether i need to update my sky q box, ive had it since 2018.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more
The withdrawal of support for non-HD Sky+ boxes has no impact on Sky Q. It's not a 'removal of SD': it's the end of a particular encoding format used by antique hardware.

You can't have a sky glass subscription, and a sky q subscription at the same time, as soon as you activate the sky glass subscription, your sky q subscription will stop, but for that month you will have 2 subscriptions to pay and sky will want the sky q box back

I dont have 2 subscriptions, i have a sky glass tv with a sky q box as stated, i couldnt get on with the streaming on glass as i couldnt record anything, so i kept the tv which is added to my bill, and went back to Sky Q for my channels.
Glass TV is just the actual tv, with my sky q connected to it through my wifi
