Sky glass puck

I'm looking at changing to sky glass but at the moment I have three multi rooms as well. Would I need a puck for every room if I change to sky glass also how much do they cost each?

@deniseredman  Welcome to the forum.  Yes you will need a puck for each TV and a whole home subscription.

Besides the Sky Glass TV you will need a Stream puck for each additional TV in your home and they  cost £39.99 each but note this is an admin charge and the pucks are on loan and not owned by you.  A Whole Home subscription (similar to Sky Q multi room) is £12 per month.

As a current Sky Q subscriber you wil not be able to order Glass/Stream online and wil have to call Sky.

Personally I had Glass but sold it after 18 months and  purchased a new Panasonic TV and Soundbar.  My only regret was that I didn't do this earlier.  The picture quality of a Glass TV is mediocre at best but it has excellent sound.

Hi @lindeldeno

If you got the pucks when they first came out, you own them and the £39.99 will be required as above loan you a new one.

However if you have got your puck after 23rd Feb 2023 these are loaned to you and should be replaced by Sky if faulty (excluding damage etc).

They told me I had to pay £50  so I cancelled  multiroom. Now I can buy one on Amazon so will I need to reinstate multiroom??   Thank you

Hi @lindeldeno

Amazon? You can't buy pucks as they are property of Sky (unless one of the original owners sells one on eBay etc).

Yes it won't function without Whole Home (multi room refers to Sky Q product)

Re: Sky glass puck

You can add the Whole Home add on via the MySky app.

Whole Home is the equivalent of multi room with the newer products.

The Sky Stream puck one off fee is £39.95 ( non refundable) and is loaned to you, it is not £50.

You cannot buy a Sky Stream puck  on Amazon ( if you do it will not work).
You can only purchase a Sky Stream puck from Sky and as above the puck is loaned to you.

To have multiple Sky Pucks or Sky Glass TVs you need the Whole Home Pack, that is £13 a month ( from April).

Multiroom is a Sky Q pack for having Sky Q minis, they cost £50.
