Sky glass gen 2 wall mount plate

Hi there just received my sky glass gen 2. I wasn't made aware I needed to buy additional plate for wall mount as last one came with box. How can I get one sorted?

@AndyT2021  The only way currently to do this is to cancel the order return and reorder this time including the wall mount in the order

Re: Sky glass gen 2 wall mount plate

I am sure I read somewhere on here that a generic mount will fit the Gen 2 but I ,may be mistaken.

Re: Sky glass gen 2 wall mount plate

Hi me neither, just spoken to Sky & apparently they are only abailable at point of sale, not after with Gen 2 tv's.
I also was not advised of this at any point.
I do believe you can use a universal bracket but the screws on the one we have are way to big (despite fitting 2 previous tv's of totally different models Samsung & LG). I also noted the screw holles are very shallow on the back of the tv which isnt very reasuring when it comes to stability !

Re: Sky glass gen 2 wall mount plate

Not sure where my original post went ?

However, it stated that I also have just received the Gen 2 tv and the screws in our universal wall mount (which previously was fine for a Samsung & LG tv) are way to big. When I called Sky I was advised the stands for the Gen 2 are only available at point of sale, something I was never advised of, jn fact the instalation of the tv was never even mentioned. Not good at all !

Television mounting bolts are widely available online in all the standard sizes and lengths: unfortunately although these are a global standard with 'M' designations there's no consistency in their use between television makes and models.

The stand is included, but the wall bracket is not (and currently must be ordered at the same time as the television)

jn fact the instalation of the tv was never even mentioned.

Wall mounting service isn't something that Sky offers: there's an extra cost 'installation' which actually just means unboxing and lifting onto the stand.
