If anyone on this forum is (a) a Sky Ireland customer with Sky Glass or Sky Streaming (b) has completed the reset steps in full to no avail brcause of problems accessing the activation website and (c) had previously been a Sky customer in the past, I would be interested to know so I can badger Sky Ireland about it on Monday.

I've tried everything why are you going on about May ? I m going on about loss of sky glass from5am Friday morning and still nothing I'm not the only one it's so annoying that you can get hold of a human to talk to so frustrating
sky get yr act together and let us know wot is going on !!!

My tv is still not working? I've tried the reset several times 🥲 pay a lot of money for a service I'm not receiving! Tried ringing them today to no avail (was on hold for well over an hour) have a friend who works at sky who told me to keep trying to reset it! So they clearly have no idea what's happened or now to fix it

Seen you posting a few times and see your picture with the updating software stuck.
We Superusers are only customers like yourself and the process Sky have provide for us to help is the procedure we are asking fellow customers to follow, that you are using.
it's progress at least that your restart attempt's are starting on the refresh journey.
But, it seems it's not making a good connection to your router correctly.
See you mention you have rebooted your router.
I will assume you are connecting by wifi to your router.
Do you have an ethernet cable that you can plug in to to the back of your Sky Glass TV and router? If only as a temporary measure to get through this restart procedure.
It may wake up your connection problem.

Same issue as many others, Managed to get the Sky Glass reset but can't access the website to enter the activation code. I assume as some have managed that its just under huge demand atm. The phone number it lists is pointless AI rubbish that directs you to the same reset instructions and then hangs up on you. Gave the feedback 0 out of 10. Customer service this weekend has been terrible. On a side note my dvd player and chromecast give pictures but no sound. Tried the available settings but not working either. Thanks for doing such a great job Sky (sarcasm!)

That can't be right as I can access the activation page whenever I try, including just now. So it's not a case of a webpage crashing/unable to load under demand.

yes, this activation process that is failing is annoying.
We have as community Superusers, we are just customers like yourselves offered our best solutions to try as we can think to help, for some to no avail.
We have asked in our closed forum for Sky to offer some further help or solutions on this activation for customers to try and get resolved.

has anybody experienced thats it's taking more time to change channels for the last 2 days? It used to be 1-2 sec for me previously. Now its taking almost 5 seconds to change the channel.

Unable to get any life into our Sky Glass TV for days now & to be quite honest neither my husband nor myself are this Tech Savvy.
VIP Customer 20+yrs down the drain. My have to look into alternative viewing options.
Have SKY broadband, TV & mobile.
Any suggestions

Went out for dinner came back and sky glass tv won't come on. Have switched off power socket and on again. Changes batteries in remote but tv not working. Any suggestions??

I think we're all getting to the same point, which is the activation code and sky link isn't working, is just does 'oops there is a priblem' then you phone and can't get through!

Hi I’m a mother of six kids with severe mental issues. Tv is my main source of entertainment. It helps distract my thoughts and low moods which affect me mentally. I can’t keep my kids entertained and am feeling overly stressed. I have followed the steps to reset my tv given to me by sky and still my sky glass won’t turn on. I have had no service since Thursday afternoon . Today is Sunday. I have called sky who told me it’s a technical fault and they are working on fixing it. When I asked how long they couldn’t give me a time or day of when it would be fixed. I was told I would get compensated financially. I need my tv and its services . This what I pay for. As a full time mum with mental health needs and young kids I am facing a huge inconvenience. Do something about it . I am so disappointed in your service

I have tried this workaround hundreds of times still the same oops message everytime and yes I am signed in.
