Sky Glass Needs Full Recovery Every Couple of Days?

I've had my Sky glass for about a year now and this week I've had to do a full recovery 3 times. It's currently been sat in recovery mode for over an hour this morning (third attempt).

It just won't turn on first thing on a morning and after following all the help steps I end up putting it in recovery mode again.

What am I doing wrong? Why does it keep doing this?

@Idnam Why have you had to do a full recovery? Is it because of this issue?

If it sounds familiar then read the marked answer and the last two or three pages for a possible workaround until Sky fix the issue with the firmware.
