DOES A SKY GLASS TV WORK AS A STANDARD TV IF NOT HOOKED UP TO SKY STREAMING ?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt will work as a terrestrial TV receiver, providing it's connected to a TV aerial. Obviously no access to any apps, or catch up services and I'm not sure whether you get a standard Freeview TV Guide.

Sound .
I've oirdered a Gen 2 thinking you'd collect my Gen 1 telly ?????
Turns out i've got to keep it until i pay the remaining balance off .
So thinking of selling it , then paying off the old subscription .

If you want to sell your gen1 Glass then do it sooner rather than later.
There are currently 114 of them on eBay, and the number is rising as more and more people try to get rid of their gen1 sets. Their value is therefore decreasing, so the longer you leave it, the less you'll get for it. Resale value has never been particularly high for them so don't expect much.

Depends on the size. You'll be lucky to get £200 for a 55".

My advice would be to try and sell locally first. Advertise on any local Facebook groups, Facebook Marketplace or NextDoor and such like, then it's easier for someone to come and collect the TV if they live nearby. It's tricky (and expensive) to pack up and courier a second hand Glass TV to an eBay buyer on the other side of the country.

Some form of plastic coating. I wouldn't try and repair it - it's easy to make things worse. Just be honest to any potential buyers and knock £20 off the asking price if they query it.
Good luck!
