Hi @Woodybrook. I note you have already tried re-pairing the remote again without success so have a read through the following troubleshooting guides to see if they help:

You could also try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a cloth. Even though it sounds an unlikely solution it has got many faulty remotes working again (including my own on a couple of occasions).
If you are still having problems I would contact Sky and request a replacement. However, I see you have had glass for 2 years so if you are out of warranty they may not replace the remote FOC. You can also get remotes on Amazon.
If you are lucky enough to have one available you can use a Sky Q remote while you wait for a replacement to arrive
