Regarding previous message: it is like when you go off the app in the first place it is not actually closing down correctly which then leads to problems reloading the app unless you restart device which forces the app to close down.

Mine is Sky Stream.

 

Yes this is correct! I had logged in on Channel 5 app & was watching a few episodes of a series. After I had left for a while & tried to reconnect, it just tries to load, but nothing happens.

My 5 & 5 were merging together at the time. So I'm not sure if this affected it! 

 

So therefore I came to the conclusion also that the app can't seem to close down correctly.

 

I received a message from Sky which told me to re-boot everything & then re-sign in to all apps.
I followed this & nothing happened at all. Sky said they had hoped that would solve the issue. As it didn't they stated they knew there was an issue, But they couldn't help any further in regards to it.
I hoped they could of done something on there end. But this isn't possible..

 

So if anyone finds an issue, I'm waiting ☺️

In the end I had to factory reset my sky glass and reset it up.  This fixed the problem.  It is a little onerous as you have to relog into apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime but you can quickly reconstruct your watch list as it seems to retain them after the reset.

I did a factory reset begrudgingly and. It worked for now

I've been having problems since Jan 5 app won't open will sometimes let me watch 1 episode of a series then I have to keep refreshing the app it's getting beyond a joke

I am having issues I've tryed reset, I see yours was in January have you resolved this issue or did it just work by itself,

For those who missed my earlier comment, I did a factory reset.  That resolved the problem, but has the incovience of having to relog into apps such as Netflix.  The watch list seem to reconstruct itself.  I haven't had any problems since then.

I've done a factory re-set & unfortunately this hasn't resolved my issue with 5 App. So I'll have to re-try again! 

 

@Mrsljp 

How have you been able to re-fresh the 5 App?? I've done it through the settings. But this has done nothing. So just wondered if I was missing anything??

@Harves It can take up to 24 hours for the refresh apps to process.
