Re: Losing WiFi on sky glass
If you connect via ethernet you need to turn off WiFi in the Settings.
If you have done that, it might not actually be an internet problem but the same issue many are having here:

Re: Losing WiFi on sky glass
Go to Settings, Network, Advanced settings, then scroll across to WiFi and press enter to turn it from On to Off. Then press the Home button to go back to the Sky Home screen.

Re: Losing WiFi on sky glass
It could be the issue in the thread I linked to in a previous reply then. In which case, read the answer from Sky and the last couple of pages for possible workarounds until Sky fix the firmware issue.

Potentially you have a bad ethernet cable. Either try a new ethernet cable or maybe just use wifi
can you advise if you use any switching equipment or ethernet direct to your router ?

Re: Losing WiFi on sky glass
I've tried a new Ethernet cable and just WiFi still does the same thing
I don't use any switching devices it's either Ethernet or WiFi

Ok ..... to me that's one of three things.
an internet connection that's suffering mini dropouts regularly
router is dropping connection (try hotspotting stream to your mobile to check
your puck is defective
I've escalated your post to the online sky community support team - lookout for an invitation to chat with them

Please let the Help Forum know when you have the new router, if this resolved the issue. If it doesn't we can invite you to a private chat to discuss further 🙂

Hi Lisa
so got new router still not working on the sky glass tv
if I go onto settings and look at network it's saying excellent connection but all channels have either a blue screen or the error message saying there is a technical fault

Re: Losing WiFi on sky glass
@Roshter I think you are having the issue I linked to in my first reply in this thread. It's nothing to do with your internet, it is a firmware issue that many, myself included, are experiencing at the moment. We are awaiting a fix from Sky.
If you click on that link, read the marked answer and read the last two or three pages there is a workaround that may work whilst we wait.
