@wsimm I did say I had doubts a new TV would sort the issue out. I'm sorry to be proven correct.

Sky glass

Hi

ive got a sky glass tv which is about

two years old. It has started to need

resting as it locks up with a message

"waiting for program to load"

it's connected via a 500mb Ethernet connection which I've performed a speed test on which is fine.

sometimes the live program goes blank but the menu's will still work fine, if I change channels sometimes it restores itself and sometimes needs a power cycle to cure the problem.

any help much appreciated

Re: Sky glass

@Nic2910 it's a widespread software problem affecting Gen 1 and Gen 2 Sky Glass. Sky are working on a fix, allegedly.

@peter-marlow+1966  Good that you haven't experienced the pain - I too have gigabit broadband, but even with hard wiring with Ethernet the problem is there. Over two weeks of repeated resets after 4 years with no issues.

@peter-marlow+1966  Yes. Apps are unaffected by the issue - just tv channels. My point re the Ethernet was that it's not a WiFi speed/ stability issue - it's a software problem affecting many people with Gen 1 and 2 sets. It's real - Sky have acknowledged the issue and say they're working on a patch. Hopefully that materialises soon. Using my puck tv for now.

An engineer can't fix a software issue.

So who or what can be done? I cannot watch anything now.

I wish Sky was with us. We are helpless. I want a massive refund for the inconvenience
