On Thursday evening I turned the WiFi connection off, so it would solely connect via Ethernet, and rebooted the Glass. This seemed to work OK, as for the remainder of the evening it did not glitch. However this afternoon and evening it's started doing it again.

 

I rebooted it several times, and each time about 4-5 minutes in it goes black but the audio remains.

 

So I bit the bullet and did a factory reset. It wasn't as painful as I feared and soon had the Glass up and running again the only things I had to do was log in to the apps again. So far so good, but far from ideal.

@Chloe-W22 we have a video we have taken of the occasions where the Glass glitches and the picture disappears but the sound remains. 

 

Something like that would be useful for SKY to see what we are experiencing.

@TimBL You may find things are okay for a few days but then the problem will start again. That's been my experience after a factory reset.

Screen keeps going black but still have sound

Screen keeps going blank but we still have sound. I have to keep turning the TV off at the wall numerous times throughout any one episode. Live tv won't load and when I try to load my apps I brings up a technical fault message. This is proving frustrating. When I've tried to follow the links on my sky it says there is no fault. Please could someone advise. Thanks

Sky glass Gen 2 problems

Hi guys, I'm still having trouble with my sky glass Gen 2, all the same problems as before with the black screen etc. Please can you put this one in the main feed of the black screen problems. I've also like to add but some of the apps are not working as well. I'm also getting sound from other apps and not pictures so it's not just on the TV but I'm having problems. It's on the apps as well. Hopefully sky will find a fix for this soon cuz I'm sure we are all getting pretty annoyed with the amount of money we pay and they still haven't found the fix. Thanks for your help on here guys

I cannot believe this. I have opened the form ready to complete, turned on my Sky Glass and for the first time in over a week I haven't got the issue. Fingers crossed.

If my screen goes black whilst watching something, I have found that I can just change channels until I find one that's working, then return to the one I was watching.

I have exactly the same thing, was advised to upgrade to the white router, still same problem. Paying for a package i can't use and an upgrade that i didn't need what a wonderful service 🫠

I have the same issue when turning on the TV in the mornings, all is fine for the first 5 minutes, but then the screen goes Black, but I have sound, if I change channel, I get the waiting for program to load. I have tried everything, but it's still the same issue. It happens every 5 minutes for the first 2 hours, I am turning the TV off and on again at the plug every 5 minutes ( which, being disabled, is not easy ). To say that I am annoyed is an understatement; if they don't sort it soon, it's GONE.
