Extra Location Charges

In a pickle.

I cancelled Sky Glass TV earlier in the year and got a new TV because I didn't like it. I gave my Glass TV to my sister who uses it for Netflix and other apps.

I recently came back to Sky and got Sky Stream. Now I am getting extra location charge notification.

I assumed the Sky service would be disabled for the old Sky Glass TV. Can this be disabled?

@Gorem2017  DId you get the Glass TV removed from your account at all?  Does it still show there?

If yes you'll need to call Sky to get it removed and for the puck to be the primary device.

@Gorem2017 Cancelling the tv subscription on your account doesn't remove the tv from it hence the charge, only a full factory reset will remove it but doing so will prevent your sister using the apps

Hi @Gorem2017 when you gave your Glass TV away did you both follow the procedures listed in the following link:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/buying-sky-glass-second-hand

If you are still having these issues you will need to call Sky to discuss and get the issue resolved.

Thank you so much for the help and fast replies.

I have contacted Sky and had the Glass removed from the account. Now my sister just needs to factory reset.

Cheers,

Michael.

Once its factory reseat your sister will need to take out some form of sky subscription to activate the tv (she would be able to cancel the sub shortly after ) then the tv will remain on her account and be able to be used
