Easy way to mark as watched
Hi New to Glass just installed this morning!
Wondering if there is an easy way to mark an episode or series as watched at all?
Eg, watched S1 os The Last of Us, can I mark this as watched so that when the new series starts it picks up from there?
thanks.

Re: Easy way to mark as watched
No and you do not need to.
When you add something to your playlist and go to that programme tile for the series you have added, the new episodes will appear upfront, so left side of the rail.
An example .
I have a playlist set for the U&Drama Classic Eastenders that 'records' two episodes over lunchtime each week day from the linear channel.
It has been doing that since I first got Sky Stream in Feb 2024. Not failed me.
A pic below shows you my previous weeks watched episodes, with the blue watch bar on the tile and the two that recorded today ( well one of those is actually still recording the episode) sitting to show me they are new episodes, that I will watch later this evening.
Make sure when you select the programme tile from your playlist you skip/ignore the top 'hero' image and its play button and pan down to the rail that shows the new/watched episodes as I described above and I have shown in the pic.
If something is in the Playlist and a new series begins, the new episode when aired or available will appear in the record/ watch rail on the left side also.
note:
Sometimes, if the programme series plays out on a couple of channels at the same time and that channel promotes it as new, when actually it's only new to that channel and not a brand new episode, you may get that episode showing as new also along with your expected. It's rare, but have seen it. Think that often occurs around poor series setting on Sky, as they sometimes for some channels and it may come from the way the channel supplies the data to Sky, so you will see the series be not only s1e2 but something like 2010 ep1
If I see that and feel it's wrong, I report via email to Sky VR team and they act fairly quickly and next time I look it's resolved correctly

Re: Easy way to mark as watched
Thanks for the response, but not quite what i was getting at.
Looking to mark some ting as watched, on Sky Q before starting with glass so that it doesn't prompt me to start from S1 E1 over again.
Thanks

Thanks
Thats not possible, there is no link between what you have watched on Sky Q or what you watch on Sky Glass/Stream as they run on different platforms.

For me, this only works intermittently and never worked (for me) with Dagliesh on C5 😞

Think it's one to report to VR.
The odd ones I have that did not do it properly were fixed promptly.
Too other examples I have set for today that have been working for weeks or so on similar channels are Four in a bed C4, records daily and The Good Ship Murder C5 that records Thursday.
Sky channels probably obviously do behave well and remember last year, The Rookie and the three FBIs worked faultlessly. A new one recently that re started a series and is doing it fine is The Equalizer.
Not sure if it helps, but I always add the programme to playlist from the On this week rail at the first showing, if it's new, but think that a + anywhere really should Start it off and once you've watched the latest episode the playlist then comes to life showing the next episode when it's available.
