Customer Dis-Service

Since 29 Aug my Sky Glass TV has refused to connect to my Sky Broadband router so won't work. All out of the blue, having worked ok before that. Multiple phone calls to supremely unhelpful customer service agents on multiple different numbers, repeating ad nauseam the details of my problem, return calls promised did not materialise. I ended up screaming "I want to speak to someone" at the robot answering service because he/she/it would not accept my password which I know 100 per cent is correct and Is accepted by a real life human being when I can finally get hold of one. I am 73, deaf and often housebound due to arthritic pain, I rely on my TV for company and entertainment. Often put through to the wrong department despite giving full details each time which never seem to be logged on my account. Finally after actually bursting into tears on a call this morning, one kind young man (based in Bulgaria!) said I should have been offered an engineer visit which he arranged in minutes and even followed up with email confirmation. Will this happen? Will the engineer be from the right department? Who knows? Why don't Sky care about their customers anymore?  I can't be the only one in this situation - and if so, any advice on what to do? My TV is now stuck in a loop of "let's get connected" and won't turn on or off with the remote (I've put new batteries in this just in case). I've followed all the on line suggestions many times without success and am now looking forward (!) to yet more days without TV.

Sky Glass doesn't have any engineer support from Sky so I can only assume that you will be getting a visit from a Sky broadband engineer to make sure your broadband is functioning.

Is there actually a problem with your broadband? Can you connect other devices such as your mobile phone or an iPad or tablet to your WiFi?

If that's the case then there's probably not much point in them sending a broadband engineer.

Have you tried turning the TV off at the wall for a few minutes then power it back on?
