A way of ending contract without paying penalty??

Hi there. We need to cut back on our spending and thought our sky glass agreement ran out in Nov this year, but just found out it's actually December next year! Is there a way of ending the contact now without paying the remaining costs?

@MRB+1  Unfortunately if you have a credit agreement for the hardware that needs to be paid off in full

you can cancel the tv subscription element penalty free if you are on a monthly rolling contract by giving 31 days notice but if you are in a minimum term for that you can't normally unless sky allows it and is subject to early termination charges which will equate to the monthly cost x the remaining number of months remaining

As @SKY1992bf indicates, the monthly payment for Glass typically has two elements: a content subscription on an 18 month minimum term and a purchase repayment over two or four years.  The latter is formally an unsecured personal loan, and defaulting on such things has serious consequences.
