Voice Guidance speed

I've just got a Sky Stream box and was happy to see they have a lot of accessibility features that are really useful, especially the screen reader. It turns on and off and functions fine, but the speech is a bit slow. I can see there's a setting in the accessibility menu to change the speed but there seems to be no difference between Slow and Fastest. Is the change supposed to be immediate, or is there a problem with it?

I too noticed this no difference in speed when you speed it up I have reported it to Sky but so far nothing has been done. I reported this at least six months ago Why there is a option to speed it up like you said does nothing

In case anybody happens upon this with the same question, as of today via support:

"I've been looking into this while awaiting your chat starting and it appears that the feature to adjust the speed is still in development. On our internal systems it states the following :-

Speech rate / Speed of voice
Some customers might tell you that they'd like to be able to speed up or slow down the rate of speech. This feature is in development for Glass and Stream.

So it looks like the speed adjustment will be introduced in a future update but as of yet there isn't an ETA for when this will be."

So the option is there, but it currently does nothing and there's no ETA on when it will do something.
