Hi,
I work with people who are profoundly disabled and can't use a conventional TV remote or Voice. The solution for these patients is to record the IR output from a TV remote and playback each code on a button press. The most common product we use is Gridpads running Grid 3.
My question is like the Sky Q can you control Sky Glass using IR instead of Bluetooth or other Radio?
Thanks in advance
Greshr

Yes, you can. Glass can be controlled in both IR and Bluetooth modes. I have no knowledge of Grid pads, though, and can't speak for how well it will work with it.

Thank you, Mark.
One more question; can you use a Sky Q remote or do you need to unpair the Sky Glass remote? (if its the latter how do you do that)

Or another Community member here may know.

Yeah, I'm after that sort of thing. I really appreciate your help, I don't have access to a Sky Glass and all I have is a Sky Q remote set to IR mode. In my experience with Sky Q is that the box will work with both Bluetooth and IR at the same time.

Works fine without unpairing the Glass remote.
I didn't try all the buttons, but the major functions work. I don't know if the Q remote's record button is equivalent to the Glass remote's add to Playlist function (didn't try it). The Q remote's volume/,mute buttons won't work with Glass as there's no code to pair with the Glass TV.

Can the Puck for Sky Glass be controlled via an infrared remote control?

I haven't tested all functions, but the main functions, yes.
