I'm also a Virgin media customer with a Sky Sports subscription. I have to log on and off a few times on the sky sports web page with my Virgin Media id and password before the Sky Sports app will allow me on.
Saying that I still find the Sky Sports app is very poor, picture blurring every few minutes while watching. Whenever I try to got help from Virgin they redirect me to Sky as it's a Sky app - when I contact Sky they refer me back to Virgin as they are my provider. I find this extremely frustrating as I must be paying Sky (via Virgin) for my Sky Sports package. Surely they could speak to each other to resolve this problem, or change the Sky Go app to allow Virgin media SKy Sports subscribers to log in and use that, as I suspect this is a less "flakey" app than the ancient Sky Sports app.
