sky email generate an app password

hi i was wondering if you can help i will be setting my sky yahoo mail onto microsoft outlook and i cant remember how to generate an app password any help would be great

You can do that here:

Make sure when setting it up that you select Other as the email provider and use these settings:

Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server

Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes

Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server

Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes

I have same probelmGenrate password for Outllook when you sign into sky from link 

 its not clear your look for password generated but the link does not take you into that any clues

@fletpablo can ypu clarify the problem you're having? The link correctly takes you to the app password generator.

You can generate it here:

Then copy and paste it to Outlook as it replaces your usual email password.

Yes, copy the password generated via the link and paste it into Outlook's password box in place of your normal Sky password. You have to do it manually by copy and pasting. It's not automatically transferred to Outlook.

I am sorry maybe i should explain its not something you would write to tell anyone but since you mentioned   i should explain  i am  Dyslexic have improved a lot but its Difficult

I need some help on this - the thread all makes sense but now when i go to generate the password through the sky web page I get - 'it looks like you're having connection problems' 

It doesn;t actually generate a 16 digit app password.

Can anyone else get the password generator to work at the moment?

It doesn;t matter if i click phone/computer/tablet etc. and I've tried it on a few devices and wifi links.

I have had to do a  re-install of windows 10 on a desktop PC .   I have installed office 2021 and are using Outlook classic. 

 I have  updated the IMAP details in line but as it wont accept my password  I guess that I need to generate  a new one 

but the web link does not seem to work now.
