hi i was wondering if you can help i will be setting my sky yahoo mail onto microsoft outlook and i cant remember how to generate an app password any help would be great

Make sure when setting it up that you select Other as the email provider and use these settings:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server
Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server
Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes

This advice is spot on. It is a shame the sky helpdesk advisers dont know this!

I have same probelmGenrate password for Outllook when you sign into sky from link
its not clear your look for password generated but the link does not take you into that any clues

Then copy and paste it to Outlook as it replaces your usual email password.

Yes, copy the password generated via the link and paste it into Outlook's password box in place of your normal Sky password. You have to do it manually by copy and pasting. It's not automatically transferred to Outlook.

I am sorry maybe i should explain its not something you would write to tell anyone but since you mentioned i should explain i am Dyslexic have improved a lot but its Difficult
