Tried an app password in place of your usual Sky Yahoo Mail password?

you have to generate that. you have to generate thst password to even access outlook anyway as your sky/yahoo password is not accepted

In a case where Outlook works after reinstalling, but fails again after being in use for awhile. I would suspect a possible hardware fault, but you say it happens on 2 laptops.

What exactly is the error message(s) you get, and what version of Outlook is it?

Yes I tried installing it on another laptop after downloading office 365.  It works for a while but then next day the same error message pops up can't send or receive mail  on both laptops   Must be sky mail. Not liking outlook surely 

you can actually send but it won't take e mails into the inbox

Works fine for me with Outlook 2019, which I believe is the same version as Outlook 365, so not specifically a Sky Yahoo Mail problem. 

I suspect the error is 0x800cccoe - if you google it there is a multitude of suggestions as to what might be the cause.

I do get lots of junk mail  it's overwhelming 

I delete t them 

they go to junk mail but Icant stop the coming in bogus e mails from mcaffe Norton bitcoins to name but a few

Sky|Yahoo mail has no problems with Outlook. (apart from needing a generated password)

Whatever is causing your problems is not general. Outlook is probably the most used client. (obviously I have no figures to prove that)

As long as the spam is being detected and going into the spam folder it should cause no problems.

as i said before . reinstalled office deleted profiles on outlook and crated new worked then went down again but its now working again againtoday with no error message but i have no cofidence it wont come back with same error

i have crated a g mail email and added that to outlook and will see if i get same issue as used a new profile on my outllook
