I've just received this email:
We’ve seen you haven’t used your Sky email account in a while (this is the one that ends ‘@sky.com’).
We’re getting in touch to let you know that this email account will be closing on the 24th of January 2025. This means you won’t be able to access any emails in your inbox, including any attachments after this date.
If you’re still using your account, don’t worry. Log back in before the 23rd of January, and it will stay active
I use this email eveyday, so can't understanding it, how do I ensure that this account isn't closed as it would cause me a massive issue & a lot of distress?

If you're using an email app to access your Sky Yahoo Mail account, that may be the reason why Sky believe you haven't logged in for a while.
All you need to do is log in via Sky.com and they'll be notified that your email account is still active.

Have just done this thank you. Is there any way I can confirm it has worked & that it won't be closed, as really worried about it closing.

Do you log in via Sky.com, rather than using an email app on a phone or tablet?

I'm left wondering why Sky would send an email to my Sky email account telling me my Sky email account is going to be closed if I don't use it.
In what realm could that make any sense at all?
Sky which has been my main email account for years now and I log in several times a day to check for new stuff. Anyone know what I can do to ensure it doesn't get closed?

I should have said that I access my Sky email account via. a browser on Windows11 or on Android. I don't use an app.

As you are logging in online then they should not have sent this email to you if indeed this was the official one from Sky that you received and not one of the many scam ones instead.

Same as everyone above, I recieved the email notifying closure of my email account on the 17th Dec. I login via the web everyday and often use an app too so no idea why they suggest it is inactive. Anyone have any new info??
