Re: Yahoo deactivated my account

I had a new phone today and tried to sign in the Yahoo email account and it said that my account had been deactivated because of inactivity.I did have an email about this few weeks back, but I thought it was a scam, due to the fact I used the app on a daily basis and still received emails and still can on my old phone .I've tried to just sign in through sky .com and my sky account but it just directs me to the yahoo sign in and it won't accept my details. So it looks like I will have to keep my old phone just to access my emails.

Firstly the email you received about deactivation was probably genuine, as Sky have been sending them out recently. but the deactivation's are not due till 4th August.

Now you have signed in via the Sky email link the deactivation should have been cancelled. as accessing only by app apparently doesn't count as use, so use  the link at least once every 6 months..

There shouldn't be any problem using the Yahoo email app on the new phone, so how are you setting it up, are you selecting it as a Yahoo account?

And here you say you are trying to access your Sky account so is it a yahoo.com or a sky.com email account you are trying to access ?

It's unlikely Yahoo have deactivated your account, if you can still access it on your old phone.

What happens if you try to log in here: https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email

What app are you trying to use for your email?

Re: Yahoo deactivated my account

Hi,that actually works when I click that link, but I tried all ways on my sky account and couldn't do that.

I actually used the Yahoo mail app on my old phone, and I was always signed in on it because it wasv in my hidden apps.

I tried to install the same app on my new phone, and that's when I came to sign in,it was telling me I had to create new account.Im on my old phone now responding to the email notification of this reply, which I thank you for.
