Scam Email? Probably not, but....

BACKGROUND

I used to be a Sky customer around 10 years ago and had set up an @Sky.com email address for myself which I still use as my primary email address. For the past several months (probably longer) whenever I logged into the web email portal I have been asked whether I want to set up MFA which I haven't done so. Recently I have noticed that MFA has now been enforced and that is fine with me.

When I originally created my @Sky.com, I probably created an additional @Sky.com address for my wife, but we dont think that she has ever used it - certainly in the past x number of years.

ISSUE / QUESTION
Recently, my wife has been receiveng emails to her @yahoo.com address from Sky inviting her to set up MFA and then email advising that MFA has been set up. My wife asked me if these were scam/phising emails which on checking (prompting Gemini), it seems that they are in fact legit. I suspect that the emails that she has been receiving are using the recovery address that I originally ste up (her @yahoo.com address)

So it would seem that all's good, but.....

We simply cannot remember what her @Sky.com address is and would like to ask if there is a way to find out what the address is?
I assume that once we have her @Sky.com email address, we can then try to recover her password and access her @Sky.com mailbox.

Many Thanks

@GaryK26

Any help here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-id-forgotten-username-t1

However there is a chance that if she has never signed into it over the 10 years then it will have been deleted due to no activity as Sky died have a purge on such accounts a couple of times each year.

You probably set her up as an additional user, so go here: https://www.sky.com/mydetails/additional-users and see if her Sky address is there.

If it takes you to My Details only, you don't have any additional users.

Re: Scam Email? Probably not, but....

Thanks for the suggestions - they both helped me alot 👍

What I found is that I did set up an user, but it was for my son, not my wife (not sure if my son still uses it).

I then discovered on the My Details Account Information page that the Household account email address is set to my wife's yahoo email address. That explains why she has been getting the MFA email notifications and not me on my sky email account.

That now leads me to a further question....

Can I set the household account email to my @Sky.com address?

There should be a link to change the address, but Sky may not allow it to be an @Sky.com one.

just give it a try.
