OTP to access SKY Email not comming through via text message

Usually works fine, text comes through but nothing. i dont remember where my recovery phrase is so im told it can take 21 for a new recovery code (21 days, are they kidding me ?) Tried all the usual turn phone off and on again, friends have sent me a text  etc.... is it a Yahoo to 02 issue and national as sky are non the wiser ???

Turn off 2 step verification

Now I have activated the 2 Step Verification but want to disable it so I don't have to get a pass code every time.
I have looked up the procedure to stop it and it says go into account and under security it should state 2 step verification and then click off but the problem is when I get into security there is no mention of 2 step verification so I am unable to disable it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how is it overcome

When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent.

To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code.

Sorry to jump on post, I am still having problems cancelling this, when I try sign in with recovery code it says its not recognised. I don't know if I'm being silly but I presume I use the recovery code at the password stage of signing in

Are you using the recovery code that will have been on the email you were sent when you first turned on 2FA ?

If I remember correctly when it came up to send you a pass code to your phone, then below the 6 box area I clicked there and then it asked for original verification code I was given at the beginning.  

Put that in and it basic resets itself, it will still ask for password etc and then ask if you want to set up 2 step verification or again below it says no thanks I will do it later so make sure you click on that. Unfortunately it does ask every time but easier than getting a pass code sent

Thanks, that worked for me, i think the box below said something about can't use OTP code or similar. My  worry was about receiving text messages whilst abroad incurring costs as well as annoyance factor

I am also not receiving authentication codes so can't log in to my emails. This seems to be a wider problem that needs fixing asap.

The verification codes should be sent to your mobile so if you haven't changed your mobile number then have you spoken to your network provider about this ?

Alternatively, simply turn off 2 step verification by clicking on the 'can't use code' link and entering your Recovery Code when prompted.

I'm not receiving OTP to access my emails. This happened a few months ago and it took Sky ages to sort. Hope it doesn't take long this time
