@Chris4510 you might want to raise a complaint: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint

 

Unfortunately it does seem that knowledge of Sky Yahoo Mail procedures is not universal amongst Sky advisers.

 

By far the best way to avoid 2 step login issues, is to make and keep safely a note of your Recovery Code,  as Sky recommend. That way you can turn off 2 step login instantly yourself and avoid having to contact Sky at all.

This has already been flagged to Sky by one of the other superusers so they are aware of the issue and are investigating.

 

You should be able to get access by using the recovery code you made a note of when setting this up.

Unable to log in to email

I am unable to log in to my emails on my new phone. It keeps saying enter the code sent via text (this never comes) an ideas?

Signing In To Email

The sign-in window says that a 6-digit code will be sent to my mobile phone (correct phone number). But despite repeated requests, no coide arrives.

Hi LotusGreg,

Many thanks for your Top Tip! I've been unable to access my Sky email account for several days, like a few others I was convinced it was something I had done and unfortunately the recovery route didn't work either, however using the CANCEL button I gained access to all my emails immediately!

There are ongoing issues with this so for the time being the only way to get signed in is to do so with the recovery code you were shown onscreen when setting it up and asked to make a note of.

I've rang them and requested 2 step verification removed. Said it maybe 3-5 days before issue fixed!!!!!

@Marley03 Sky usually say up to 72 hours to remove 2 step verification which might well be the same timeframe for fixing the issue with the non-receipt of Verification Codes. To wait and see, or not....?

I have  experienced the same problem since 1st April. No resolution  from either Sky (yahoo mail) ot Yahoo

I'm now back in with 2 step verification removed so they actioned that quickly. I advise anyone having issues to ring Sky to get it removed.

Laptop emails

Downloaded anti virus program which seems to have taken out my sky emails on my laptop.   I do not have sky broadband but a sim contract so to open emails on my laptop I enter my user name, password and then I am sent a verification code to my phone which I enter and the emails open.    It tells me it is sending the verification code but nothing comes through on my phone so I cannot access my emails on my laptop.   Can anyone solve this problem as yesterday I rang Sky and spoke to 3 different people and eventually was told by a Supervisot that it was a global issue that Yahoo were having and I should contact them?   Not helpful at all.
