This is happening to me as well. Don't have a recovery code. My back up email option also not working. PLEASE HELP... I need my emails

I have just spent 40 minutes on the phone to Sky. Reset passwords, input codes etc. etc. End result, a request has gone to the relevant team to switch off two step verification. This can take up to 24 hours if no issuses arise.
It would appear that the problem has been recognised and updated information has been passed to call takers, at last.
Good luck everybody! I've been a Sky customer over 26 years and my patience has been worn down to a bare minimum.

@Catherine+Perryma , @Dorth if you didn't make a note of your Recovery Code, you'll either have to wait for Sky to fix the problem, or call Sky to ask them to turn off 2 step verificati9n on your behalf. Thay can take up to 72 hours, and it's entirely likely that Sky will be able to fix the problem before then.

Still can't get to sign in to my email no code coming through on my phone sky need to solve this problem it's not the first time this has happened try all day so I have given up as it's driving me crazy

I am getting the same problem with mine and my husband's emails. I have flafgged it to Sky, and soent about 5 hours messaging the Accesibility Team (I have disabiliaties). Their answer was that they did not have any problems their end. But this looks like it is a,Sky problem, not the customers'

Over two days I must have spent around 90 minutes on the phone to various folk at Sky attempting to get across to them the seriousness of this issue. Bar the very last call taker, none appeared to have any relevant knowledge of the issue nor, any idea of how to resolve other than to refer me to another team. The final call came when my wife could no longer access her emails via Outlook. The inevitable screen request for 'Two stage verification' being the obstacle.
The chap I spoke to assured me that a request had gone to the relevant team to switch off verification but, he could give no time line other than 'within 24 hours'. I admit to being fairly beligerent at this point and made it clear that I was seriously considering my relationship with Sky. After 26 years, the service was simply not good enough. How could it be that no-one had the ability to help there and then, nobody appeared willing to even acknowledge the universal nature of the problem. I had referred most of the call takers to this very forum and the numerous, duplicated complaints. Was this not proof of a serious and major issue?
For my troubles, the last call taker was eager to compensate and rewarded me with 2 months free subscription to Sky Kids - I'm 70, I last watched kids tv when The Magic Roundabout was the big thing. Ho Hum!
Anyway, surprise, surprise, within an hour I received an email informing of the changes to my account. The dreaded verification process had been lifted on both mine and my wife's accounts, hurrah! Free, free at last!
Make the phone call folks, be firm, be polite but be firm. It can be done.

@Mark39 It reall isn't much help using the recovery route as you will still be asked to input the verification code sent to your mobile. That's right, the code that doesn't get sent to your mobile.

@LotusGreg that's nothing to do with using your 2 step login Recovery Code.
I think you're talking about resetting your password, which is quite different and does indeed involve a code being sent.

2 step verification code
I can't access my emails as not receiving the verification code. I phoned Sky and the agent said they were having problems and it would be fixed in 3/5 days.
I don't believe this as I haven't seen anyone else mention it.
Is anyone else having problems?

I'm having the same problem.
Phoned on 26 Feb ,they said it would take 7 working days to get it done.
Tried yesterday ,still not fixed. Phoned again was passed from pillar to post having to give the same information.
THey said it would be fixed by 7pm. Tried again still not fixed so phoned again ,given the same runaround.
Finally they said that my Gmail account was my main account so they couldn't remove the two way factor.
Then tried to sell me sky products.
How do we flag this up to someone important as I presume the highups in Sky don't read any of these comments

There are issues with these at present so what you have told is correct so in the meantime to access your emails you need to use the recovery code you were asked to make a note of as doing so will turn 2FA off and will allow you access.
