@rhinos2011 if you made a note of your Recovery Code you can tap in 'can't sign in with code' and enter it to turn off 2 step login

Sky have made 2FA mandatory (again).
Cancelling Sky will not change their decision, but if that is what you want to do, that is up to you.

Why not just setup a different email address somewhere that doesn't use 2FA like Gmail, it seems a bit drastic cancelling your Sky services over something as basic as an email address.

@Bryan5 you can no longer turn it off. I'm afraid. Sky have made it mandatory.

Re: How to remove 2 step verification
This is a new way of doing things if you like so I presume you do have a mobile, if so the code should popup on the screen as it does on mine so you don't really have to do to much with the mobile to be able to view it if you have it right near you when you go to access your online email account.

I know what you mean - it was the same for me. However, increasingly over recent years it has been necessary to use one. It's not attached to me on a leash and I don't feel it necessary to keep it turned on late in the day or overnight but it's placed somewhere handy when I'm at home during the day
