I think you should be fine, should you login to the Sky website to access your emails at Sky.com then a passcode will be sent to the phone number you provided when setting up the 2 step authentication and it is this you would need to enter on the Sky website when it asks for it.

@Doris+Shawcross

Does this email you have received address you by your actual name as actual email from Sky would do and usually would not inclide a link it as you have said this one has.

I'm afraid that's not a genuine email. If you followed the link and entered your username and password, you've given them away to a scammer.

I'd strongly recommend changing your password and perhaps consider setting up two step login, as a precaution

@Doris+Shawcross

That is a scam email I'm afraid and isn't from Sky so the first thing you need to do is to change your password via this link:

https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/

Let us know when you have done this.

To generate a 16 digit password you need to use this link:

https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps?client=email

Not really, if you put your email address and password in on the link in the original email, you really need to change the password.

Are you now receiving emails?

Re: Email to generate new password

Hi yes they are working fine, before they had an eclamation mark at the side of them but not now, I have the 2 step authentication setup, do I need to look for anything else?

My reason fo believing the email was because I had changed providers & thought it was related to that.

Many thank for the support i needed it!!!
