Code to access email account

Can't log in to my email account to access my emails because it needs a code which gets sent to a old mobile number which I no longer have

If you made a separate note of your Recovery Code as Sky recommended, you can use it to turn off 2 step verification. If you didn't, you'll have to contact Sky and they'll be able to turn off 2 step verification on your behalf. It may take a while, however.

When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent.

To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

Like a fool I used the recovery code and it said I needed to reset 2FV which I started but then said would send a code which didn't get.   Total I have requested 11 codes - 6 to get in originally and another 5 to reset 2FV.   If I ever get back in no 2FV ever again.

@db118 if you can't enter the code,when you're setting up 2FA, setup doesn't go ahead, so you should be able.to log in using just your username and password.

If you use the recovery code, it will turn 2FA off. It will suggest you set it up again but you can bypass that. (I think you choose "Maybe later")

So if you did use the recovery code, it should no longer be on. Even if you started to re-enable it, if you didn't get the code sent, it should still be off.

Edit: I hadn't noticed @Mark39 had already said basically the same, I should really read the whole thread before replying.
