Are you using an email app? You may need to use an app password rather than your existing Sky password in the set up. There's a link to the app password generator in Sky's help guide here: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/problems-accessing-sky-mail-from-your-email-app

Alternatively you can access your emails by logging in via sky.com instead.

Re: Cannot Get Mail

Yes I am using native app for email on iOS and also an app specific password for years now, nothing has changed my end...

On numerous occasions, usually mornings, would have the first picture showing an Account Error, would show unread messages but not being able to access them. Mostly an hour or so later, then all would be fine...

But this server error has just started and I would like to know what has triggered the errors and how to resolve it, so my emails work again?

and no, using webmail is not an option or solution for me!

If you're using Apple's standard Mail app, that's likely to be the cause. Intermittent login issues have been reported here over many months. Oher email apps aren't affected so you could try a different one.

As @Mark39 says that is a well known problem on Apple devices, it has been going on for a long time.

Try using a different app, such as Outlook.

As for what causes it, you had better ask Apple.

Re: Cannot Get Mail

As I have already said, there have always been issues with accessing emails, which are usually cleared in an hour or so, but the black message is new in the last couple of days.

This message about hitting server limits, suggests something has happened or is happening to my account, which is why I want to know how or why this has been triggered, so something can be done to rectify or block the problem.

I can try Outlook, but that doesn't answer this issue.

Re: Cannot Get Mail

Already tried to call, as usual takes hours and can never speak to anyone with technical knowledge, just people going through checklists

So frustrating, spend hours getting nowhere, not surprised 😤

Give up, there is no point calling Sky.

Try with a different app, I would suggest Outlook, but there are alternatives.

It does seem strange it can work for ages, and them fail. bit we have seem similar on the forum many times.
