I'm still having the same problems on both of my apple devices, nothing has changed or improved.
I also dislike the Yahoo app but I'm using it to get by, however, I fear that the problem we have will never be fixed.
I hope I'm wrong!

They removed the ability to automatically forward mails some time ago. You can still collect them using POP though.

No still doing the same😡.So frustrating especially if it is an important email. I have to go in to email via internet and then email the problem email to myself again. This mostly works although not guaranteed.

I am really fed up with this problem now, it's been happening for a few months and nobody knows how to fix it. I get. " Account error:Sky then, " Cannot get mail-the connection to the server has failed" then "Cannot get mail-The mail server imap.tools.sky.com is not responding, verify you have entered the correct account info in mail settings" I have checked everything and it's all spot on.
Oddly enough, a few minutes, hours or days later , the emails suddenly appear and it works fine for a day or two, then straight back to the same messages. This started happening around November 2022, what did you do to us in November Apple, don't deny it, you did something, if you fix it, I promise I won't hold a grudge. In the mean time, if anyone else can fix it, I will send you a food hamper.

If the Apple app is still playing up then use Outlook as an alternative with these settings:
Select either "Other" or "Not Yahoo" then use these settings:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server
Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server
Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes
You will then need to generate a 16 digit password and use that instead of your usual one, you can do that here:

Clearly using a different app isn't going to fix the Apple\ Yahoo issue. No-one can say with any certainty that this is an issue solely with Mail as other email accounts work just fine with only Sky\ Yahoo failing.
I did have the same issue but I haven't had any issue with collecting Yahoo\ Sky emails via the Mail app for several weeks now so I had thought the two companies had resolved it between them.
Is your phone and app software all up to date?

It's only the Apple Mail app that's not working reliably. Other apps are working fine and are a workaround.
