Hello,
I am trying to forward my sky.com emails to my gmail.com account,
I have tried via Yahoo mail / settings / email accounts
- but there is no 'forward' button at the bottom of the right-hand side - as a search on google suggested
I have tried via Gmail settings / accounts & import / import mail & contacts
- but getting : there was a problem while connecting to pop.tools.sky.com
& there may be a problem with the settings, please contact your other email provider to verify the correct server name & port
- but have been using the ones that come up automatically - pop.tools.sky.com & port 995
However my mobile shows your yahoo account (displays my email address) was just used to sign in on Gmail app
Please can anyone help - I don't know what else to try,
Yours hopefully

You are on the right lines by trying to get gmail to collect them via POP, but as well as using the correct port (as pointed out by @caesarome ) you will probably need to use a generated password instead of your usual Sky password. https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt really doesn't matter, the only difference is how they are shown in your Sky account.
But I would choose other, simply as it's none of the others.

Hi @caesarome & @jayach
Im having the same problems.
I have got my user name in, i've tried both my email password and password generated my sky.
It just keeps saying;
"There was a problem while communicating with mail.sky.com, Server returned error: "Connection closed by remote host: The other server terminated our connection. Please contact your other email provider for more information."
I've used the port 110, 993 & 995

Assuming you are trying to get Gmail to collect your Sky email, the correct port will be 995, as it uses POP to do it.
You will also need SSL on, and it has to be the generated password

If using pop then aren't the emails deleted from the email server and only reside on the device/client that you used to access the email. Effectively there is no longer any footprint of the original email

Not if you tick the right box.
However, if the user intends to only use Gmail for their email, they may well want them deleted from Sky.
