2FA issues as have new phone & new number.

Long story short:

  • Lost my phone.
  • Obv the SIM was inside.
  • Had a torrid time with EE which lead to them agreeing to cancel my remaining 6 months and move elsewhere.
  • Moved to ID.Mobile on the Three network, but had to take new device & new number as EE blocked old no

The Problem:

As I am sure you've guessed the 2FA is set up through old phone no and therefore unable to receive and enter any new codes.

I have my username, password etc. but not the backup codes as I copied these and sent them on an email to that email address like a right doughnut.

HELP!!!!!!

Without access to the Recovery Code to turn off 2 step verification, you'll have to call Sky, I'm afraid. There's a team who deal with such scenarios but knowledge of their existence seems to be a bit patchy amongst the front line advisers. You may have to persevere.

I suppose you don't access your emails elsewhere like on an app or program like Outlook on a tabet or PC so you can go back through these emails to locate the recovery code ?

I'm not sure you can keep signed in with Sky email even if you have selected the option to do so as you might be logged out after a certain period for security reasons.
