rip off broadband prices for loyal customers

currently a loyal tv and broadband customer of 17 years, yes, mad i know... paying £26.76 for the unlimited broadband which gives me an average around 5Mb/s  repeatedly blamed on outdated copper connections.... I am now being offered the only upgrade option of superfast? at av 61mb/s for the sum of £39.50 which is still only part fibre.......  The presumably disloyal new customers get it for £26 per month....

How on erath can that be justified and why should i notmove my broadband to other provider options who appear to have no problem providing good deals to my neighbours!   I am not even certain how slow the average  for  superfast is if it still relies on a acopper connection ..

And if you move, in 18/24 months when the new customer discount ends, you'll find yourself in the same position.

The national average for FTTC is around 56Mbs: speed is almost entirely a product of distance between the subscription address and the fibre cabinet.  If there's currently no Openreach optical infrastructure in your area then no Openreach ISP can offer anything better.
