No broadband since fibre installed

Fibre superfast broadband fitted on Friday 21st March, the engineer said there was a problem with the 'head end' and that it was being looked into as a matter of urgency as it was affecting 4000 users. PON light is red on the Optical Network Terminal. Still have no broadband and I am due to be working from home tomorrow. What is going on and when will this issue be rectified? We are paying for a service that we aren't receiving!
