renew broadband

Have now phoned 3 times to renew contract.

£45 for superfast broadband NO THANKS.

Go on internet and i can get 3 times the speed for half that.

Why after 25 years are SKY willing to let me leave because they cant match the offers online.

Got cut off 3 times and no one calls back so guess its goodbye.

Will also ditch phone and TV when contracts are up.

NOT happy.

Ultrafast speed for £20 is likely to come from an altnet ISP which is laying its own private optical cable in a limited geographical area using startup finance and venture capital.  No Openreach ISP can compete financially with such operations, nor do they attempt to do so.

Re: renew broadband

I am in the same boat. Been with sky for 16 years,  broadband is going from 24 a month 62.00 a month. I said i can go to Vodafone for 24.00 a month.

The lady replied I can't match that and I am free to leave ???

I can't believe they are not wanting to keep customers,  seems strange.

I work in sales myself and if my boss heard me saying to a customer I would be fired.

Such ashame I did like sky but looks like Vodafone will have my business now and mobile too.  Tv package finishes in summer and will cancel that now.

@mkderby

The Vodafone price you're seeing is a new customer price. You're not a new customer to Sky so if you move to another provider the same will happen in 24 months when your new customer discounts end.
