'Your Sky Broadband hasn’t been activated yet' message showing when trying to test broadband

Our internet has felt unusually slow for the past few days (wifi and ethernet) and wifi has dropped out a few times. I've gone to run the broadband test tool on Sky's service checker website and I get the following account error:

 

Your Sky Broadband hasn’t been activated yet

It will be activated %%activationDateMessage%%

It can be anytime up to midnight. We’ll send you a text to let you know when you’re up and running (if we have your number).

Sign in to Order Tracking for more info and updates.

%%activationExtraMessage%%

 

We've been using Sky Broadband for years, so it definitely has been activated!

@EvelynRose42  If you have a black router can you follow the directions below.

@EvelynRose42  Can you tell us what you have connected via ethernet ( hardwired) into the broadband router just now?

I have my desktop pc connected via ethernet. I checked and I get the same message about my broadband not being activated yet when I run the service checker on my PC and on my phone.

@EvelynRose42  Well the PC is causing a lot of collisions on the router as 4.5 million of them. over a near 5 day period.

Ah interesting, thanks for pointing this out. I forgot to mention, but we also have a wifi booster disc connected via ethernet. I have just disconnected this, rebooted the router and with only my PC connected, the collisions seem to have stopped. Apologies, I don't know much about these things - could these collisions have been causing the lag/disconnects for both my pc and wireless devices (since it appears the wifi booster was affected)?
