Wifi keeps turning red/no valid ip configuration

Hello.

For a couple days now the WiFi keeps dropping off, happened once a day the past couple days, but multiple times today. The light turns red and on every device I get the message that no valid IP configuration has been found. Ran the sky test too during the issue and it came up as the WiFi hub having an issue. I am working from home and would like to get ahead of this before it gets even worse.

@RolandObernauer  Are you able to tell us what colour the lights are on the router when this is happening and the broadband test is just telling there is a problem with the router and gives you no other advice in what to do?

If someone has helped give them Like.

Re: Wifi keeps turning red/no valid ip configuration

Hello!

The light turns red, had a call with customer support and the culprit seemed to be a faulty ethernet cable, but right after hanging up the issue persisted. WiFi seems to turn off for a brief moment, then "no valid IP configuration" comes up. Takes roughly 10-20 minutes for it to go away and happens randomly throughout the day. On the sky test site, everything looks okay, except WiFi, that has a red X while the issue is persisting, then it goes back to green

@RolandObernauer  Are you able to change out the ethernet cable out to discount this to see if it solves this issue for you.

@Highlinder

I have! Previously was using the one from the router before, now swapped it for the one that came with the wifi router itself and the issue is still at hand. Only thing I can think of is maybe the router has an issue itself

@RolandObernauer  If you think that the router is at  fault give Sky a call and let them go through the toubleshooting with you so that they can then send you a new router out.
