Wifi booster for summer house

Hi

Can anyone help. We have a summer house that's about 30ft from the house, no WiFi coverage. We know it can get it as previous owners worked in there.

We tried a tp link this week but was no good, didn't work. Lots of options online but when you actually read the reviews many don't work beyond the walls of the house

I'll try and ring Sky today but are there any suggestions 🤔  We called in Currys yesterday and nearly bought a WiFi booster from there but they were £150 and they couldn't guarantee that we could take it back if it didn't work so didn't want to take the chance

I guess I'm asking in a nutshell if Sky will have a product to sort this problem

Thanks

If you are allowed to attach fittings to the wall of the house then something like a wifi 2.4/5ghz weatheproof power over the internet antenna would work such as the one below

TP-Link AC1200 MU-MIMO Wireless Gigabit Indoor/Outdoor Access Point, Waterproof, Ideal for Garden Wi-Fi, 802.3af/Passive PoE, Easily Wall or Ceiling Mount, Free EAP Controller Software(EAP225-Outdoor) https://amzn.eu/d/336Goqd

Sky Stream , Sky Superfast, SR203 router, Tp link td w9970 + Asus RT AX58U (backup), Xbox Series X, google home mini, LG 43 inch UHD tv, samsung a5 2017 and samsung s21

If I get it right mark as answered
If I get it wrong humour me
If I say something you like give a thumbs up

Strictly speaking sky will only supply their booster for all rooms that are part of the main house.

How is electricity supplied to the summer house? Through the house or via a seperate circuit

P..S. what speed are you getting at the sky hub?

Re: Wifi booster for summer house

No idea re speed apologies, its fast and efficient

Separate circuit, we are in an old cottage and this was an add on

Also new laptops with no ethernet ports so WiFi only option

@Quaidy although the home office is on its own circuit its worth trying a set of powerline adapters that use  the mains wiring to get the signal to the new build as long is it wired back to the same meter. You can buy these with a built-in wifi access point and if bought online can go back if they dont work.

The only other real option is to get an ethernet cable run to the unit from the hub which needs not be too expensive and again buy a cheap wifi access point.
