I recently had a new WiFi router sent out to me to replace the old one which was experiencing issues. Since resetting this router by holding down the WPS button for 30 seconds I have found that my wifi max pod no longer seems to connect to the router, with the white light constantly flashing. My pod is connected to the main router via Ethernet cable. I have tried unplugging the pod, and have also tried to manually connect it via the My Sky app, but the connection process just goes on forever, with no connection established. Please can you advise how I can get my WiFi max extender pod to connect to the new network, bearing in mind the connection is through ethernet?

Hi, this case can be closed as the pod appears to have finally connected to the main router overnight. Thanks

Every time I look for an answer for problems with setting up Sky Max Pods, the question has been referred to a private discussion?.
Makes me think Sky have issues they don't want to share publicly?

Morning.
I'm having this issue too. Sky sent me a WIFI Max Router and 1 pod, which are both working well. However the WIFI coverage across the whole house is still pretty poor, but the Sky engineer who visited today left me 2 new Pods for me to use. They both been plugged in for hours now and NEITHER of them will connect, they are just flashing white. They are both a lot closer to the 1st Pod that was sent out (which connected fine) and i have even tried them in the same room as the router. No joy. Is there a chance that these 2 devices need to be registered to the WIFI Max router before they will start working?

Update: hours later.....still not connecting. One of them is less than 2 meters from the router.

Final update. So it appears that this issue might have been down to my lack of understanding. This is what I did and now both pods are connected:
Install the My Sky app, login
Take a photo of the serial number on the back of the pod(s)
Plug one of the Pods in
Scan the QR code on the box of the pod, not the pod itself
This opens the My Sky app and I can start adding the Pods. It starts scanning for the pod, but never finds it. After a while it asks if I want to add it manually, which I agree to.
Added the serial number of the pod into the My Sky app.
After a while, the app updates and the pod is connected. It also shows up i nthe my devices section of the My Sky app.

Thank you so much, why can't Sky put this info in the App itself, I searched for hours until I found you post, I would add one small point, the serial number on the pod is very small, I wrote down what I thiught it was, but still couldn't get a connection.
If you scan the QR code on the pod, it displays the serial number (plus a few other digits) but it's obvious if you've already written it down, I misread an 8 for a B, once I used the correct serial number it hooked up fine.
btw. the QR code on the box is inside the lid (really obvious place to put it 😞 )
Thank you once again.

I haven't got the box of the of the pod so how do I set it up manually if I can't scan the QR code on the box?

Looks like you need to speak to Sky (good luck with that), what I've found is the range of these new Pods is nowhere near as good as the old WiFi extenders, mine won't connect to my Sky Q box permanently, keep dropping, rang Sky and asked for a second Pod, they said they can't send a second unless an engineer comes to sort it out.
I told them I don't need an engineer, just another Pod, they said no, not without an engineer visit.
I can see how this will go, engineer comes, checks my setup, says he can't do anything, you need another Pod 🤣 really stupid, I might just ring Sky and tell them my current Pod is not working can they send a replacement 😎
