Wi-Fi disconnects the TV regularly

The connection from Wi-Fi to tv drops out. The tv then cannot detect Wi-Fi so I need to turn off the tv so it can see the Wi-Fi when turned back on again. 
this is NOT. A tv issue as this only happened when I was provided a new white router. My old black router was solid.
