Broadband installed but still waiting for Virgin Media to fix a box under the drain

3 days without broadband since it was installed. Called Sky, they said Virgin has to solve it. Called Virgin, they said Sky has to solve it. Called Sky again, no time frame. Until when is this going to continue?

@TFTR1992  Can you explain in more details what the issue is as Sky & Virgin Media use completely different networks.

If you had Sky vbroadband installed I can't see what a Virgin Media box has to do with it?

Re: Broadband installed but still waiting for Virgin Media to fix a box under the drain

Basically, I installed Sky broadband on the 10th December. However, the technician said there as a box with cables under the drain (where the Sky cable was connected) to be fixed, he said not knowing when. Called Sky, they mentioned that Virgin Media has to go fix the box because it's theirs. Called Virgin Media, they said not being able to help Sky costumers. Called Sky again, they said I had to wait and they could give credits on the bill. The thing is not the credits, it's more why do I have to depend on other providers to have a service that I contracted. Honestly, doesn't make any sense.

Not necessarily in RoI, if that's where we're talking about.

Yes, it's ROI. Still, this wait doesn't make any sense.

@TFTR1992

Unfortunately I suspect no-one posting to this forum has any insight into the situation, which wouldn't happen in the UK and is relatively new to RoI as that link I posted indicates.  We just don't know where responsibility lays when Sky is using Virgin Media infrastructure: if I had to guess then I'd say work would be booked by Sky but carried out by Virgin personnel.
