Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Hi Mark,

I'm having the same issue. Only received the  Wi-Fi booster yesterday (model SE210A)

I have:

SR203 Router

Firmware: 7.02.0804.R

cannot, for the life of me, get the Wi-Fi booster to connect to the router. Tried WPS (both button and using WPS client through admin portal) and WPS PIN. Nothing

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Try linking them with a cable rather than over the WiFi

@GTRoss try linking the booster by plugging it in close to the hub and link the two using the wps buttons - the one on the hub is on the right hand face of the unit and is easy to miss. Both wps leds should flash when they go green the booster is linked. Once linked then move the booster to a position midway from the hub to where you need thecwifi boost - the hub needs a strong signal from the hub  to work.

@Roblovesdiy unfortunately the recent Sky booster stock does not have an ethernet port to do what you suggest

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Hi @Chrisee,

Tried this already. As you say, no Ethernet port so can't hard wire connect.

I've tried pressing the word buttons on both booster and hub with them next to each other. Also reset the booster by holding the reset button down for 10 seconds. Still get nothing.

Will need to call Sky today to resolve.

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Hello, same problem for me...

Hub:

ModelSR203

Firmware Version7.02.0804

Booster: SB601

Won't connect right next to each other via WPS, holding each down for ten seconds or via ethernet cable. We've had non stop issues with sky internet since changing over a month or so ago, firstly our sky q box doesn't connect to the router and will not work with our mesh network which worked fine with previous provider.

Now booster will not connect to router. So far sky internet is basically like having a really ugly black brick in a room with little to no use unless you are sat next to it with a laptop or phone.

We cannot use the internet functionality on the sky q box since changing to sky internet and cannot get WiFi in any room except the one with router.

Tried to phone sky but after 2hrs on hold I gave up.

Any other suggestions to get the booster to connect or is it worth just going back to our old provider who we had no issues with?

After 12 years with sky TV I wouldn't have guessed it would be one of their own services that would make us leave!

@mstand293 given you have had a pretty tough time I have directly escalated your post to a Sky team  who support the forum. They should be intouch soon offering you an online private chat through the forum where a chat icon will appear

I dont know what the problem is but I hope thry can offer an engineer to come out and sort the system as you shouldn't have these problems. With Sky Q and Sky broadband they should work together as they form a mesh network. If you are still trying to useca third party mesh system thst could be the issue as it is almost certain the 2 systems will interfere.

Best of luck.

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Update on my issue.

had to get an engineer to come and visit. Supplied me with another booster which has connected and is working fine. Been left with the initial one and will probably try and see if it will connect too.

Thanks everyone.

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

I struggled for days trying to sort this until I read this. I went to the web page, clicked under the WiFi heading where you can add a WPS. Either via pin on just clicking the WPS button on the booster and then clicking on the push setting on the web page.
all connected now, thanks i

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Hi, I have bought a sky booster 2023 and it is all connected but I can't seem to find what the password is? It's not the password that's on my sky WiFi box and the booster just has a pin on it
