Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Mine only connected with a wired connection, when I could change the original wifi postcode via logging in to it. That, to my surprise, worked.

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

@Arthur49er & @Roblovesdiy Thanks again for sharing that info.

If you get the chance, could you let me know what setup you have (when the booster can't connect)

  • What devices are connected to the Hub wired/wirelessly?
  • Are you using any switches?
    • Make and model
  • Are you using powerline adapters (or similar)?
    • Make and model

Like I say, we've done some work in this space and want to understand what might be causing the issue you've described. 🙂

  • Is everything connected wirelessly?
  • Which (if any) devices are connected using ethernet?

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Hi

Philips Hue hub is wired to router and the Powerline is wired as well.

Everything else is pretty much wireless

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Just received my booster and WPS connection not working. Currently trying with an ether net cable and then onward move as per previous post.... Very frustrating!

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

I now have the same issue after turning my main router off for an hour or so while i moved things around.

I have the Sky Broadbank Hub and i have literally got both devices sat next to each other after being frustrated with them not connecting at distance via WPS button.  Still next to each other, they dont connect and i now have a blackspot in my house upstairs where broadband comes and goes (depending on how you have the device held!! )

Firware version is 5.14.2405.R on the main router.

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Hi. If anyone finds this thread. I just had the same problems and struggled to even get the sky q box to connect to router R203v4.2 via WPS. I found that when instructions say press the WPS button on the router / broadband hub for a few seconds, it actually helped if I held down the WPS button on the router / Broabdband hub for about 10 seconds or so. The booster found it straight away using this method.

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

I had had the same problem and just tried the above method of holding down both wps buttons (router first then booster) for over 10 seconds - worked straight away - thanks @Sytheruk  🙂

Re: Wi-Fi booster not connecting to Router

Hi, I am no expert but have a look at earlier posts and try connecting the booster directly to the router with a cable and then connecting them.
