Where can I get information from Sky about DHCP Options 60 and 61? Is it easy to do?
I want to order a new MikroTik hAP ax2 router for home today. Unfortunately, the basic SKY MAX HUB router is almost impossible to configure. To set MikroTik hAP ax2 up, I need DHCP Options 60 and 61 parameters and instructions. Has anyone had experience obtaining this information from the SKY provider for DHCP Options 60 and 61? Is it generally difficult to implement on this router? I've had similar models from this manufacturer before, but I haven't dealt with DHCP Options 60 and 61 previously.

@QuantumPulse Sky use DHCPv4 Option 61 to authenticate both FTTC and FTTP connections in the UK. The string you need is in the form anything@skydsl|anything I cannot recall anyone asking about your router before so there msybe other settings you need. The "|" is the pipe symbol which acts as a separatorr between the user and password fields. The content of the anything sections are literally any string you like.

Sky themselves won't provide any information on using a non-Sky router, except that they do not encourage this and that Sky Talk Internet Calls will not work. As @Chrisee indicates, there's a reasonable amount of information circulating within the user community.

Re: Where can I get information from Sky about DHCP Options 60 and 61? Is it easy to do?
Thank you for providing the information. I merged it with other similar topics on the SKY forum.
I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I simply added the following values in the specified fields:
For the field DHCP client options:
Name: clientid
Code: 61
Value: 0x61626331323340736b7964736c7c616263313233
Also here:
Name: clientid_duid
Code: 61
Value: 0x61626331323340736b7964736c7c616263313233
And everything started working. I connected the Mikrotik hAP ax2 model, and now I can manage my network properly. Unfortunately, SKY HUB MAX is quite "raw" in terms of firmware and lacks options for regular and fine-tuned settings.
Moreover, after entering the settings provided by the operator, everything would reset after some time, and I had to enter them again.
I don't have the strength for that anymore. =))
Its only advantage, in terms of measurements and facts for me, is better coverage at the 2.4 GHz frequency.
