Using a Managed switch with sky wifi hub max

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to improve the security and organization of my home network by using a managed switch (specifically the TP-Link TL-SG108E) to create separate VLANs. I have Sky Broadband gigafast with the sky wifi hub max .

Has anyone successfully set up VLANs with Sky Broadband and a managed switch? I'm particularly interested in whether the Sky Hub/router will interfere with the VLAN configuration on the managed switch. Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated! I intend to isolate some of my IOT devices and a home server.

@Stu101 in general if you want to achieve segmentation of your network you would be better buying a third party router which offers the level of flexibility you need. Sky hubs are heavily locked down and are suitable for simple domestic networks not what you appear to be wanting.

However if you know what you are doing it is probably doable most issues you may have heard about would be with Sky's black hubs that use a proprietry system Sjy used in their Sky Q system. The white hub is not affected.
