Have you considered getting a wifi extended kit see if that helps

@James00000007 As you are correct and you now know that what you have is probably the max version of the system, do you perhaps use android as your phone or have laptop with windows. Use free wifi analyser at hub, then pod 1 - pod 2 - pod3 and find the signal strength at each position. It is never good to try and get wifi boosted from pod to pod to pod, I have no experience of wifi MAX system but do imagine how frustrating it is for you, surprised the SKY Team have not been and assisted and mapped your wireless system?

Hi,
They did come and map out the wireless system and they basically said that the signal is not strong enough. I think they are struggling with it at the moment. None of the engineers said they would switch over from their older systems. Its only 3 floors (includes loft conversion).
I have also got an issue where a PC will not connect to a pod and keeps reverting to the main hub even though a pod is very close. When you see the wireless network strength on the PC it is at full strength. When you then connect to the wireless network, it then appears to connect to the main hub and goes down to 1 bar in strength with a very poor signal, that will drop out completely at times.
I guess most people are not paying attention to what is happening with their wifi connection. Most people probably just accept that it isn't very good.

@James00000007 Did you manage to use an analyser on your phone to check the wifi signal strength, netspot is an android app that I use, it's pretty good at showing the signal, it is always hard when the 5ghz band is used as the back haul and maybe the plume option is not the way to go as you are finding out now. I would keep on at sky and see if they can sort it out, if you look on virgin media, you will also see there customers are having nightmares with there option off plume also. Wish I could be of more help but you should try to gather some more data, regarding signal strength, which may mean also switching of some of the boosters, I personally would not do more than one, you will also have to use the mac address due to having so many devices using the same ssid transmits

@James00000007 here is a review for you to check out.

Thanks for posting that. An interesting read. Most people do seem to go with the Deco system if they are serious about having a decent wifi system. Looks like it will be years until Sky have a wifi 6 system. I think I will probably ditch the sky wifi max long-term, it's just having the time to do it and switch everything over. It seems ever more painful trying to deal with companies these days, as the AI phone systems are terrible and the wait times are bad.

@James00000007 Some more intresting links on the plume site, could not find much on sky, but intresting that one pod always seems to have to be connected by network cable as a master.
Explore the links at your leisure.
