Splitting frequency
How do I split the frequencies on the new sky hub max. I can only find forums that show for the old hubs.
I've tried to contact sky and they said they can't advise on it but to come on here

Re: Splitting frequency
It's not possible to unsynchronize and rename the bands on the Max Hub. The most that can be done is to temporarily disable the 5Ghz band in order to try and get 2.4Ghz hardware set up.

Re: Splitting frequency
@LizB08 you cannot split the WiFi bands on the WiFi Max hub - its a wifi6 device which uses both bands at once.
If you want to attach devices that cannot link to a dual band SSID like cheap IOT kit the recommended approach is to turn off the 5GHz band then network the devices and then turn the 5GHz band baxk on. Devices should remain connected.

@Chrisee the settings isn't coming up on my app, is this a know issue? Or do I need to contact sky again?

Some users do encounter a delay before the Max Hub administration tabs appear.

Re: Splitting frequency
@LizB08 if the options to control the Wifi Max hub are missing from the My Sky app try signing out and closing the app and reloading it as that can make them appear. If still stuck you will have to call Sky.
