Slow wifi

I have just installed Sky broadband and should have over 400Mb/s, but am only getting 23Mbps download and 32Mbps upload speeds, when the router is right next to the computer. Tested the connections and WiFi and sky say all is working ok. What can I do?? Running the same test on Virgin (another computer and router) says that I am getting 274Mbps download.

With BT Router and WiFi extenders I could achieve over 250mb download speeds in Office room just above router. With SKY router I am now achieving 11mbps.

This is ridiculous. Even the BT router without extenders achieved far better. I need an engineer visit asap to resolve these issues and improve wifi performance to an accepatble level. If this cannot be done I will revert back to BT where the performance was acceptable
